How you can help us?

At Chain Reaction we are always looking for ways to expand our educational and entertaining work. But producing high-quality, engaging, interactive and informative theatre isn't cheap!

We are constantly looking for potential funds, grants, sponsors, and charitable donations to help us maintain and develop the fantastic work that our current and past funders have enabled us to do.

But why, out of all the worthy charities around should you help us? Here’s ten good reasons...

1. We get around!

We have been working with disadvantaged/marginalised young people aged 5-16 in London, Essex and nationally for the past 13 years. Since we started we have reached more than 250,000 adults and young people nationally, over two-thirds of whom live in London. We’ve toured extensively with theatre projects, run roadshows all over the country, featured at corporate events and training days, and premiered shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, all to rave reviews and fantastic feedback. That’s a lot of communities and potential customers all over the country who have felt the positive effect of our work!

2. We’ve got an ever-increasing fan base!

Our files are bulging with positive feedback from a huge range of people from all over Britain who have seen, loved, and been inspired by our shows. These include teachers, head teachers, local government staff (from Arts Teams, to Chief Execs and even Mayors!), funding and grant-making bodies, multi-national companies (GlaxoSmithKline and JP Morgan), Youth Offending Team managers, health education professionals, the Metropolitan and other police forces, Healthy Schools co-ordinators, celebrities (including Barbara Windsor and Richard O’Brien) respected magazines and papers including The Stage, The Edinburgh Evening News, The Edinburgh Guide and a host of local and regional newspapers and radio stations, and probably most importantly, the children and young people themselves.
Check out our “What People Say About Us” page to see just a tiny selection of our fabulous feedback for yourself!

3. Kudos!

Many companies like to be involved with good causes, to allow them to contribute to the communities in which they operate and sell their products – and what better cause is there than Chain Reaction? With a wholeheartedly positive message, a REAL way of educating and improving society, a entertaining and professional working style, and an massive fan base and target audience, who could be better to act as an ambassador for you? And with our great media coverage, you know that your name will be out there as a company that has really done something good for the world!
For individuals, it can simply be gratifying to know that your hard-earned cash is going straight towards helping communities and young people improve themselves, their lives and their surroundings.

4. It cuts both ways...

For our part, we aim to look after those who look after us. As a sponsor, we will ensure that we publicise your donation through our NEW website, appropriate media and PR, and through branding opportunities. We want to promote our sponsors to help them get the most out of a partnership with us, and as such we’re always up for a good chat about how we can help you too.

5. We are “The One and Only”

We create original, dynamic, inspiring and entertaining theatre projects that provide factual information, provoke debate, and break down taboos and myths around sometimes difficult issues that young people face as they grow. All our work builds knowledge, empowerment and self-confidence, and we don’t shy away from difficult subjects. We don’t believe there are any other educational theatre companies around that can match us – for originality, flair, educational value and pure entertainment!

6. The Professionals

We are the perfect ambassadors for any company. As our feedback illustrates, we have gained a reputation not only for the outstanding work we do, but also for our professional attitude and well-managed approach. All CRTC staff are great communicators, good planners and team players, and as such we always create a professional impression wherever we go.

7. Naughty but nice!

Some of our on-stage characters may be up to some bad things, but the real-life people at CRTC are famous for their positive, proactive and friendly approach. We aim to uphold the values that we teach – honesty, openness, friendliness, and respect for all people, and we’ve had so many positive comments and compliments from schools, funders and other organizations that we’re positively blushing!

8. We deal with the REAL issues

We educate and entertain around a range of very important personal and social themes including:

  • Health and well-being
  • Healthy eating
  • Sexual health
  • Smoking awareness
  • Drugs (and alcohol) awareness
  • Bullying and celebrating difference
  • Expressing emotions, emotional well-being and dealing with loss/bereavement
  • Conflict resolution
  • Community cohesion, racism, and celebrating diversity
  • Aspirations and planning for young people’s future

These are issues that affect all of us – including your customers, clients, community, friends and family. By educating children and young people about these issues, we can help make our world better – for EVERYONE.

9. Our light shines through...

At a time when society is increasingly disrupted and the problems caused by misinformation, misunderstanding and lack of education are being felt in so many communities, Chain Reaction are a beacon of light, clearly communicating important messages that have a positive effective on children, young people and society in general in an entertaining, engaging, personal and most importantly memorable way.

10. And finally...

...if all else fails, we’re quite pretty and we’ll make you a nice cuppa!

So, if you or your company are looking for a current, streetwise, worthy educational arts cause to sponsor or donate to, from £1 to £100,000,000 (or more if you REALLY insist!), Chain Reaction tick all the boxes.
